Published 12/01/23This week our Sports Leaders spent a morning at BGN being trained to lead the activities at the Year 1 Multi Skills Festival next week.
We were joined by Year 5 & 6 leaders from Orchard Fields, Longford Park & St Mary's Aston Le Walls and Year 7 leaders from BGN. The training was led by Rory from NOSSP.
The Year 6 children were totally engaged throughout the morning and really enjoyed mixing with their peers from other local schools. They are really looking forward to putting all their new skills into practise next - I'm sure they'll be amazing.

Read MoreSanta Fun run relays in aid of Katherine House Hospice
Published 19/12/22Well done everyone who took part in our annual event to raise money for this well deserving local charity. We all enjoyed taking part in fun relay races, wearing our Santa hats and dancing to the Christmas tunes on the playground.

Read MoreGirls Football Competition
Published 24/11/22The postponed Year 5 & 6 girls Football Competition took place this week at BGN school.
We took a team of Year 6 who competed in the Cup, and the Year 5 team competed in the Plate Competition.
Playing against teams from St Mary's Aston Le Walls, Longford Park, Orchard Fields, St Joseph's and William Morris schools both of our teams demonstrated the School Games Value of Teamwork impeccably.
Games of ten minutes on a very muddy pitch proved challenging at times, however team BLS finished the morning undefeated!
Congratulations to all the girls and good luck to the Year 6 team who represent the BGN partnership at the NOSSP finals next week.

Read MoreHockey Festival
Published 10/11/22This week was the NOSSP Banbury Area In2Hockey festival at Wykham Park Academy.
We took Year 5 and 6 pupils from our after-school Hockey Club, who were joined by their peers from Dashwood, Orchard Fields, St Mary's Aston Le Walls, Hanwell Fields and Hill View school.
The event was played in a round-robin format with every school playing each other. Considering the majority of our team have only been playing hockey games since September, they did extremely well with 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss across the morning.
They continued to show respect to their team, opponents and the officials throughout the competition and finishing 2nd overall was just the icing on the cake. Congratulations - we are very proud of your achievements!
